So much for me trying to be funny. You claimed you drove 60 mph no matter where you were are what road you were on. That to me is a humorous claim.
Your response reads to me you took offense and went on a tangent that I insist on speeding and a claim I drive different because I am in Texas.
That was not my intent. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.
9 MPG is very very good . YOu have one special drivetrain !

No - no. I took no offense, just want to be accurate and truthful.
I really do drive that speed nearly everywhere I go on roads that allow it. Not in lower speed limits as I tend to watch my speed carefully and driving one of these things isn't like driving a sports car as you tend to make sure things inside don't want to go sliding around or falling off places.
I just don't like driving fast for no reason - as I am not under pressure to get anywhere at a certain time for anything.
I do watch the traffic though and once in a while a little faster speed is required to help clear up a bit of bunching up or someone trying to blindly merge without realizing a behemoth is right beside them....

Guess I thought it was about what I expected....
But have about 2000 more miles to go this trip and am keeping track of everything so will see. It's really hard to determine just on a tank or two - long trip mileage tells the real story.
So far I am more than pleased with the coach - but I didn't realize it had 1200 # torque. No wonder it handles the mountains so well as it does.
