I am looking for your recommendation for the best aluminum roof sealant

(vs. an aluminum roof coating which sometimes is only used to reflect light/heat and doesn't work as well as a "sealant" which seals the smaller holes and cracks).

What do you recommend?

Polyurethane flashing sealant.

I've found this to be excellent for sealing aluminum and keeping out the weather. Any hardware store will have it.

If you want to fix it year after year with $5 a tube caulk of some type that's the way to go. If you want to take the time to properly apply $40 worth of Eternabond tape to the seam areas. It will most likley be a one time fix.
