My son is looking at a 30ft 2005 Cavilier camper no slide for $5500.

Sounds good but it has no holding tank.
How hard is is to install a tank?

Must be a "Park Model". Just measure around underneath and you can prpbably mount some, but major PITA. Tanks are costly also plus the plumbing, straps etc.

I guess that would depend on what the previous owner did when they removed the original tank. The only way to know for sure is to look at it.

Which tanks(s) was removed? Black? Grey? Both?

Was this a park model? If so might be missing more than just a tank. Make sure the mounting is secure as you install the tank. Full I would guess the tank weight to be in the 300-400 pound range. Good luck.

It may also have a regular toilet. That will have to be replaced also. Or you will be using a lot of water and add a lot of weight.

Does it have the other stuff to be used dry camping? Gas Refrigerator? Could it have been a FEMA trailer?, as many of those didn't have holding tanks, etc. Price sounds good if it's in good condition.
