I just can't see how it would come down .60 in a day and gas not budge. It literally leveled out, just like that. According to an un-named Chevy Van owner, diesel was NEVER going to be as low as gas again. It was also never going to come down in price period He bases a good number of his posts on the very topic.

Right on Eric. The push for drilling along with the President taking off the excutive ban on offshore drilling has really helped bring the prices down. Here in Harvey, ND 4.17, down .30 in the last two weeks.

Our next long trip is in October... with my luck the prices will rocket up again just in time. At this point... WHO KNOWS? I can't even shop any more - when I'm not towing I go 600 miles between fill ups in maybe a month or even 5 weeks. The prices are all OVER the place.

prices in Houston area range from $3.91 to $4.89. all for the same diesel fuel. Now that looks like some price gouging.

Show me a link to were diesel is cheaper than reg unleaded gas . Diesel is much higher in every Flying J in the US. In Oklahoma City reg unl gas is $3.339 and diesel is $3.999.

Right there with you, racked up over 3,300 miles towing paying rediculous prices in July.
I almost passed out on the way home tonight as I saw the station I normally fuel at had the price down to $4.40 when this morning it was $4.64.

The price change happened after yesterday afternoon as while filling the Honda Accord up, for 3.99 I caught the diesel price. regular gas price, didnt drop, just the diesel and now it is only 7 cents more than regular gas!!! What in the heck happened? I am not complaining.
Do you shop at Safeway?
Their current offer is 10 cents per gallon off with every $100 in groceries you buy. The kicker is that you can add the discounts all the way up to $1 per gallon off.
A month ago I got 70 cents per gallon off when I filled up.
Maybe thats why you paid so little. The Safeway near Snohomish was $4.69 a few minutes ago when I filled up. Thats without the discount of course.
