If you have any pictures of your spray in bedliner could you post them? I have a mineral grey dodge ram and can't decide if I wan't to go over the rail or stay under. I am going to stay with the black liner.

Thanks

I have mine over the rail. This was the best pic I had.. Hope it helps.

I like it better. It really takes out the worry of scratching the bed rail if you use the truck as a truck. Firewood, plywood, anything and everything has gone across it without any damage!!! Well worth it!!

Oh and I have a Line X Spray in liner... A little more money than Rhino but much better quality/appearance!!!

Hope this helps!!

On my 05 I have under the rail, as my GM has a factory plastic rail. My 2000 reg cab C2500, has the over the rail. That would be my preference with metal top beds, as I put wheel barrows etc over the bed top, so it protects this part.

As far as which brand, take your pick. I've screwed up both line-x liners, putting in a pallet of cement pavers wrong, along with pulling rock out of my 05 with a trackhoe, which pulled the liner with it any way, they will peel off and get screwed up if you really try........

Over, least that's what I did on the old truck, will do on the current one.

Always getting scratches on the rail and little folks put things and pull things out of the bed...

Go over the rails. Not only does it protect from damage but the Line-X that I have is also cooler to the touch in the sun than many other surfaces. This includes a diamond plate toolbox in the back of the truck.

I have an under the rail liner spray in, I donno the type used since the dealer put it in as part of the deal. If I was going with an open bed I would have gone over. But I put on the MOPAR folding hard tonneau cover, which seals better with the under the rail. Over all I am very happy with it. My truck is used as a daily driver and camper hauler, so moving large items in the bed is only now and then.

Under the rail, but would go over next time as I ended up putting plastic rail caps on.
Line-X also, sprayed after the holes were cut for the hitch; benefit being the cut edges got sealed nicely so no rust.
No reason the hitch install can't be done after the liner - just make sure you seal the raw metal edges if you do an under-bed mount.
