I cannot plug the coach power cord into any GFI receptacle without tripping it.....I have turned the main breaker and all other breakers off inside the coach to try to diagnose the bad circuit, but the GFI even trips with the main breaker and the others off......
I suspect this problem has existed since the coach was new, but you so seldom see GFI's that I only recently discovered the problem...Suggestions?

Do you have in inverter? Many tire the neutral and ground which will trip a GFI.

Well when I had my problem I didn't have an inverter, but the neutral & ground where shorted together in the breaker box. Bending the ground lead away from the neutral bus bar fixed the problem. Took a long time to find the problem though.

Yes I have inverter.....so I should look for crossed wires in breaker box...will do. Any other suggestions?

We have exactly the same problem with our '08 coach. I tried a different GFI circuit- same problem. It works fine on non-GFI circuits. The strange thing is before our last trip, the coach worked well on the same GFI circuit that now trips. Turning off all of the breakers make no difference. With the breakers off, the transfer switch is the only device receiving power, so it may be the problem. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Try unplugging the converter, it is some times plugged into the back of RV panel box. I remember sometime back someone mentioned that a converter can cause the problem. Just another item to check Bill

And check your cord it could have been damaged.

You can start by unplugging everything that runs on 120vac. Fridge, microwave, inverters etc. Those are the easy things.
From there it gets tough. You will need a meter and will have to measure resistance of your grounding to Neutral/hot relationship as you disconnect things.
Guys have found wire problems with their built-in gennys, Hot water heaters (110) types, fridges (3 way types, 110,12vdc, propane)etc.

If I understand you correctly and its tripping even when the main in the coach is off, you probably have a problem in the cord or at the cord connections.
A GfI senses a current flow somewhere other then the neutral, if there is any leakage through the equipment ground or some other path it will trip.
