I have had Good Sams ERS for a year and have used them three times. They gave good service. During the year, they upgraded my membership to Platinum for free. I just received my renewal notice and is $129.95 to renew.

I had Allstate RV Roadhelp for ten years and used them many times and was satisfied with their service. Allstate also provided KOA membership each year. KOA is now in Partnership with Allstate roadhelp and charges $73.29 for one year membership. The services are about the same so I am switching back to KOA/Allstate.

We are planning on dumping good sams, but would like to keep the ERS. We dont know if we can do it that way but we never use good sams for anything. None of the CG's we go to honor it. Will it be Coach Net or AAA from there ????

That price must be for a new membership special. The renewal price for RV Roadhelp is now $109.95 in 2008, 2007 and before it was $99.95

KOA was with RV Roadhelp back in 1994 when I dropped GS for it.

If it is the same as CW Roadcare, which I believe it is, my vote is thumbs down, depending on where you are at. I currently have Roadcare and when talking to operators I could hear others answering using a saluation for a different service. Considering Roadcare and Good Sam ERS are operated by the same people, I believe that they are the same service. I would still be in Columbus, Ohio if I waited for them to find someone on a weekend. Ended up walking a good distance to find a parts store to buy tools and parts to make my own repair after waiting over 12 hours for them to fail to respond. Next ERS will be Coachnet.

I don't doubt you that things could go wrong, but some things are also hard to believe...

like waiting 12 hours without service of some kind and them not calling you back to be sure you were serviced... I bet there are missing parts to your story…

I have never been told to call the next day, and if you are in danger calling the police is a good idea, that they shouldn't have to tell you...

I have never waited any where near two hours although two hours was quoted once, that is the estimate given to them by the tow operator not a time set by them...

on one occasion there was a foul-up when I needed a flat bed and the guy showed up with a hook and a truck with no tools... they immediately dispatched another company and they had the tools and made repairs on the spot...

they have never failed to call me back, to be sure the service showed as promised, and requested I call when all was taken care of...

in some areas after hours there is nothing open and that is beyond their control... in the Naples FL area, there is no where to buy a tire after hours, so you may be towed to a closed tire shop to get you off the highway, until it opens... they can't buy a tire you can't buy a tire...

I have had CW and now GS, both affinity and I travel with people that have coach-net, there is little difference between them...

you may choose to save the $100 but one tow of the TV and RV, or a MH, will amount to a lot of years worth of savings, especially if you are way out in the country...

I wouldn't spend another nickel with AAA though, but I am sure they have served some well since they still are in business...

They let me down the one time I needed them. That said, I know that many others have been entirely satisfied with their experiences.

Thumbs up for me - for the four instances that I needed their services (in my 8 yrs membership), they have responded promptly.

We had G.S. and used it a few times with no problem. Came time to renew and Coach-Net was less expensive so we went with C-N. Used C-N and had no problem.

Just came time to renew again, this week, and G.S. emails me with a $79.95/year for up to 3 years and a $20.00 gas card. Just re-upped with G.S.
