So tell me about your tailgating experiences with your RV! This will be our first season with ours. Right now we're planning a trip to East Lansing, MI for a Michigan State game with some friends who are alums.
Where do you go...college, NFL, even high school? With this cool weather we've had the past few days, I can't WAIT!!!

We tailgate at the Air Force Academy games. Have done it for several years. Its a 10 mile drive. We arrive two or three hours before the game. Usually BBQ some burgers or a steak. Eat, drink, watch other families and enjoy the atmosphere. The AFA has free parking in a HUGE field, so we have plenty of room for our 40 ft DP. We fly our AF flag, with my Iowa Hawkeyes flag under it.
If any of you have the opportunity to attend a military academy game, do so. The pagentry is spectacular. At the Air Force Academy, there are fly-overs to start every game. The cadets march in accompanied by the AF song. Its chilling, exciting and a not-to-be-missed sight. Send us an email if you happen to plan a visit.
After the game, we set and watch traffic until things clear out.
We can't wait either.

We tailgate for all of the LSU home football games. This is our fifth year to do this and can't wait to get started. We arrive at 7:00 am Friday morning and stay until Sunday at noon. It is tough but someone has to do it.

DH and I are hoping to head up to Nebraska for some Husker football games after DH gets home from the sea. I can hardly wait!! GO BIG RED! GO BIG RED!
We saw some great tailgating at the College World Series in Omaha this summer. My favorite was a mini school bus with a kid's pool on top. The guys were chilling in the pool. By the way, CPCfiver, we always cheer for LSU when they are in the CWS (and have for many years). We love your baseball fans--they're a riot!

We've been tailgating since 2001. No better place than Troy University in Troy, Alabama! Go Trojans! Several of us arrive on Thursday to watch the "Sound of the South" band's night practice. They are awesome. Friday we set up 3 tents, watch "the Sound" afternoon practice, and all the other tailgaters who are pulling in and setting up. When the gang all arrive we unload our two trailers full of picnic tables, extra chairs, coolers, doo daa doo daa. We eat and decorate the tents with tons of "tackie lights." (We've been at it so long we even have rain gutters for out tents!! We've come a long way, baby!!) Saturday's after the game we feed anywhere from 50 to 150 band members, their parents, alumni and the directors and their assistants. We have a great time with the kids. Sunday's after a full breakfast we breakdown and pull out, leaving our spots as good as we found them. (sometimes better) Although we are running with the "big dogs" our RV spots are a stone's throw from the stadium and doesn't cost and arm and a leg .... yet! We have water, electric and cable and sit in a paved parking lot. We are getting excited just thinking about it! Wow, it's just around the corner! Enjoy the season.
Bill, Kathi and Toby (the doxie) - for the "pitter patter" of little feet in the house.
Love the "Sound of the South" and TSU tailgating. (It's just TU now.)

Arizona Cardinals football games here. We have great tailgates - now if the team could only win some games! We get there when the gates open and leave when security throws us out. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
NASCAR too only that's an entire 4 day weekend. We've been to Fontanna, PIR, and Vegas. Vegas is the best we've found. I think the next closest venues are Kansas and Texas - not sure if we'll make those or not. This year they PIR race is Sunday the 9th and we have a Monday night game on the 10th. My head hurts already!
