We had the torn home screen door replaced by a local door company with a special pet screen material for $ 63 and warrantied for 3 yrs. See no reason that would not work on our RVs and at a lower price. Still have good ventilation.

Works well with my dog and my M-I-L when they scratch at the door wanting out.
Did you put one on the outside also? MIL scratching to get back in seems like it would be the problem.

We gave up on the plexiglass, which got foggy from scratches very quickly. Our dog won't even jump up on this.

Tried the plexiglass and it worked fine on our last TT but it blocked some air coming in so on our present TT went to Lowes and got some pet proof plastic screen and installed it, works great. Needed to use smaller cord in the ghannel and it cost more than regular screen but it appears very strong and looks original.

Hmmm, our standard Poodles bark "out" when they want to go out and "in" when they want to come in. I guess they never thought about busting through the screen.
