Good morning from beautiful Maumee Bay State Park!!
A good time has been had by all and we're getting ready for some egg bag omelets! The weather has cooperated and we had some great surprise guests! So good to see Linda and her pocket full of Tom.
We are looking forward to the OSU/PSU rally, see ya'll then!

Mel and Tony thank you for having me for the weekend. MEL, big thanks for picking me up. Big thank you to everyone for the big support system for me to lean on at this difficult time. Hope to make it to OSU game rally.
Sounds like everyone had a great time. It's so good to hear that Linda attended; can't wait to see her at the OSU/PSU rally.
Roger and I made a last minute reservation and spent the weekend at Scenic Hills campground in Berlin! $25 per night for full hook ups. The lots are gravel and there are no trees, pavilion, or shower house, but the area is nice and very quiet. Nice getaway and close to home! It's fun to play tourist in your own back yard
Glad the Mommy Bay get together went well. The surprise guest list is impressive.
We had a very nice w/e at Cardinal Center CG. I have sent out e-mails with pictures of the CG. I hope to move the Christmas party there. They have nice facilities including cabins, indoor pool, a nice rec room and is open year round. If I was more proficient at posting pictures, I would. Fred and I shot trap. Took a little while to clean them but they were sure good after you fried them up. My shoulder is a little sore. Haven't shot a shotgun in a long time.
It appears that no one got the e-mailed pictures. It must have been too big a file. Sooooo, here's a link to my Webshots album where you should be able to view them.

Steve, your pictures came through well. Is this the facility that is any where near Delaware? (the one that Jim and Dee showed us. If you said trap shoot it must be. The one that is a gun club. If so we have been there just to drive through. Looked pretty nice.
We got home around 4:30 after stopping to have a late lunch with daughter Jenni in Findlay. I wanted to thank all those who were at Mommy Bay who assisted in making this a very nice casual weekend. Mel and Tony, your "Unofficial" 1st Annual Rally was great. Nice job. It was nice to meet some new folks from Michigan and to see those again that we had already met. Wished my knees would have allowed bike riding, but relaxing and jabbering were relaxing.
See you all at Evergreen in October.
We are going to go to Wytheville Virginia leaving Wednesday morning early. Pleas keep fingers crossed that they have fuel so we can return. I talked to richard Daniels in Waynesboro Ga and he said at this minute he does not have enough fuel to get out of town. Hasn't been able to find a station open for diesel and any regular gas available was around $5 a gallon. What a Deal.

HI Everyone. Made it home by 2:00, and all is well.
Thanks Mel and Tony for a great weekend. The weather was perfect, and Maumee Bay SP is a nice place. Sounds like people want to go back there for Memorial Day.
Take care and have a great week.

We got home about 2p.m. and Todd took off to help transport 5th wheels to Novi, MI for out son who will be taking part in the RV show.
What a great place to camp even though they have snake crossing signs along the road. Two snakes were spotted but in my mind as long as I didn't see them they weren't there.
I can't say enough about how nice Maumee St. Park is. The sites were large and private. The whole place was spotless. The bike paths were great. The best part about the weekend was the great company. We had six new families and they claim that we didn't scare them away so we hope to see them from time to time.
I liked the park so much that I would like to invite all that can make it back to the park Memorial Day weekend. I am going to make reservations the end of Nov. for Memorial Day.
It was very nice to see Linda McCarl and her friend Sandy. I did have to ask Linda to be a little gentle with Tom the way she was shaking his ashes. As you travel around Maumee be careful where you step.
Glad to come home and read that many of our camping friends are on the mend. Tonya, glad to hear that as time goes on you will be pain free. I am sure with your job it hasn't been easy for you.
Tonya, if Greg and you had stopped in for potluck you could have had a piece of key lime pie.
The food was great, Tony's fried chicken, Roger's fried perch and all the wonderful dishes that everyone made.
Those that weren't with us, you were missed.
Mel and Tony, thank you for hosting the rally. I feel like we have found a gem in our back yard thanks to you. Tonya had mentioned about how nice Maumee was but if you two hadn't set this rally up who knows when we would have gone there.

Thanks to all who were so very nice to the "foreigners" from up north in Michigan. Mary and I and Snowflake had a really nice time spending the weekend with the crew. Thanks to Mel and Tony for hosting and to Todd and Bonnie for all the camp-fire hospitality. The campground was really nice and we are thinking about bringing our Holiday Rambler group there for a camp-out.
As soon as I can get the recipe for Mary's special "Barking Spider Beans" I will post them.
Thanks again to everyone for a great weekend, hope to see you all again soon.

Finally got a minute to post. Had a WONDERFUL time this weekend. Thanks Mel and Tony for throwing this together. The four of us had a great time biking on Saturday and enjoyed the company. Thanks to Tom and Mary for the "tour" this morning. I agree, it was GREAT to see Linda again. Had a wonderful talk with her. Helen, you hang in there. You have a HUGE support group and if you ever need to talk ...
We won't be able to make it to the OSU/PSU Rally, but are looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it in November.
