We just picked up a 2009 Jayco 26BH this past weekend and had a great first camping experience. Once we returned and parked the unit, we shut off the propane tank. Here is my question (and if this is stupid...I apologize). When we take the TT out again this next week, do I have to re-light all of the pilot lights or are some of the PL automatic? I should have asked this at the PDI...but I did not think about it. I just don't want gas to fill the TT once I open the tanks back up.

Any insight is appreciated!

Thanks

Welcome to the "Jayco" family.
We do not "Re-light" any pilot lights.
As a side note - We have a rear kitchen floor plan (Jayco Jayflight 25RKS). I turn on 2 of the stove burners to get the gas flowing. I wait about 20 seconds, then try to spark or light the stove. Once the stove lights, I then turn on the fridge to "Gas". After all pilot lights and indicators are on the fridge, I shut off the stove and keep the fridge on gas. I always leave the fridge on gas while we travel. I have never had a problem this year.

Safe Travels and HAPPY CAMPING!!!

Wooo Hoooo Another one hits the road. Congrats on your purchase and I hope you have as good a time as we do camping. You find the nicest people (at least most of the time) when you're camping!

Congrats and be safe!

All of the pilot lights are automatic. Good luck with the new TT!

Congrats on your new TT,and welcome to the forum. As to your question, when you turn the gas back on, turn on 1 of the stove top burners, and hold knob in on the lite position. Every couple of seconds, turn the spark igniter and it will lite when all air is purged and gas is there. Your Fridge and WH both should be automatic. Your oven pilot lite will need to be lit manually, but not until you are ready to use it. As when dealing with propane anytime, IF YOU SMELL THE GAS AND YOUR APPLIANCE IS NOT LIGHTING!! STOP- TURN GAS OFF AND FIND PROBLEM.

Congrats on your new purchase, I just bought my 3rd one on Aug 2, I bought the 09 Jayflight 32 BHDS G2, our jayco has the water heater pilot switch for the electric and the gas on the main control panel were the black/grey/fresh/battery lights are at. I do the same as said in here, Turn LP tanks on, go inside turn on range burners, light them, run them for a second then you can click the switch on fridge/HWH and you should hear the pilot clicking, my fridge has a yellow light that will flash if gas isnt on. Only pilot I have to lite continually is my range oven. Anyway welcome to the forum and good luck

Congrats on the new TT. Why do you turn the gas off at all? I never turn my gas tanks off except in the winter. My Dad who has 30 plus years of RVing experience never turns his off except for winter storage. Should I be turning them off?

That is a good question. I was told to turn them off when the trailer was parked for any extended time for safety reasons.
