I always carry my two bicycles on a bile carrier behind the toad.
I have seen people carrying bicycles behind the MH.

Problem is, i have the toad hitch in there that needs to be folded
and unfolded during the toad hookup.

Does the bicycle carrier with bicycles on it, interfere with connecting and disconnecting of the toad? How do people work around this?

C-Man, I had my bike rack mounted up high on the ladder on the back of my Winnebago. I just had enough clearance to keep the bikes above the tow car even when I turned sharply they still cleared. John

We have carried bike between the HM & toad for many years. We use the Swagman 4 bike rack. We only use the bike rack and the bent tube section from Swagman. We welded a tube to the top of the hitch for the bike tube to slip into and secure it with a pin and lock. Our tow bar attaches to a ball on our hitch. If your tow bar slides into the receiver you will need to do something else. If our MH was here I'd take a picture for you, hopefuly you can make a mental picture of what I'm talking about. We have never had a clearance problem with the bikes and towed vehicle.

This is what I have. Swagman Turbo 38118
, but you will need a receiver extention. And a receiver extention reduces your towing capacity a little.

Here's what we use:

http://www.autoanything.com/bike-racks/69A1572A0A0.aspx?kc=0&from_search=1

It slips right over my Blue Ox tow bar and with only two bikes clears everything OK.

Mine causes no problems. There are several brands, including Draw-Tite (which I use) that are designed to be "Tow Gear Friendly" some silpping over the 2" square receiver bar (The bar that goes into the receiver) mine is a bolt on designed to be held to a traditional ball type hitch by the ball, but Blue Ox was kind enough to make a special adapter for me to use with my rig Very nice, not as nice as I used to have but still very nice

Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

We have the hitch bike rack and a Blue Ox towbar. Have a set (4) of heavy (the rubber kind used on truck tarps) bungie cords holding the towbar legs horizontal and connected to the bike rack. Never need to pick up the towbar legs to connect. Yes, the towbar can not be folded for storage, put a red flag on it if driving without the toad..

We bought the one you referenced in your post for my parents and have borrowed it a few times for ourselves as well. It works fine pulling a jeep wrangler or Jeep Cherokee. They did have to buy a longer hitch for it to work for their coach but it works great.
