Mine has a very loud alarm when turned on or off, if the ignition is on. Your alarm must not be functioning. If mine should sound the alarm on a very rough road I just hit the power on button and stow and the alarm is off in 2-3 seconds. If you don't have a manual for your jacks see if you can download one from the HWH website. Good Luck.
I have HWH jacks on a 2004 Allegro and my manual says to keep the jacks in stow at all times when driving. A couple of time when hitting
a hard spot in the road the HWH buzzer will go off and I just hit the stow button and in a few seconds the buzzer goes off. If you have a jack or jacks that will not go up all the way you need to use a
Silicone Lubricant and spray the jacks when extended and wipe down the stainless steel part and raise up & down a few times and the jack will start working correct. In use the stainless steel gets dirt & grime on this part while set up and then when raising the jack this
dirt and grime is pulled up to the top as the jack is raised and will
then pile up at the seal and then over time the jack is slow and or will not raise.
My HWH jacks will buzz (loud) untill they are in stow position and
when traveling and stop and then get ready to pull out again and hit
the starter my HWH buzzer goes off and I hit the stow button and then the buzzer will go out and this tells me I am safe to drive.
If you do not hear a buzzer then someone has unpluged it. Without
the buzzer you will never know if it is safe to pull out. The manual
also says it is normal for the jacks to drift some when motor is off and to never drive until stow has been hit and wait until the buzzer goes out.
My hunch is that you shut off the levelers rather than letting the system shut itself off.
When we raised our jacks, once the warning lights extinguished, we'd visually double-check each jack to make sure each was fully raised. Then leave the system on until it cycles itself off.

No. No alarm. System was off so possibly alarm not on. I have never heard a sound from it actually.
HWH systems will sound the alarm and have a visible light either on the dash somewhere and on the touchpad IF a jack is not fully retracted. If you extend the jacks and the key is ON (engine running) and you do NOT hear the alarm or see the red light, then there is a problem. HWH jacks CANNOT extend without Hydraulic pressure, even with "weak" springs more than 1 inch. If as you claim, The jack was close enough to hit something on the ground, the jack NEVER fully retracted and stuck at the length you saw. That usually means the Jack seals are defective, NOT the springs. I say this because a normal HWH jack with good seals, you can manually push up the jack in retract mode and not have to pry it up. Even weak springs will pull an HWH jack up to within 2 inches of full retract. Doug
Sorry it has been a while but no wi fi available recently. Thanks for the replies. I called HWH and after a couple of days I was able to talk to a tech. Very knowledgeable and helpful. He said that he felt that it is fluid heating in te lines due to them being run too close to the exhaust and not shielded well enough. It does look like there is a spot where the Mfg co ran a bunch of hoses pretty close and used some flimsy alluminized cloth to shield them. I am to add more insulation and get back to him. I visually check every time we pack up and whenever we stop anyway but I installed a safety chain for now. It was 110f when it happened. Th 110 in Death Valley the rear do not retract well either. I checked the wireing for the dash light and buzzer and found that it was connected at the dash but that no current went to it. The brake sensor and ground were on the same harness. Brake sensor connected, ground wire appeared to have been connected with a eyelet and broken off so someone stuffed it into an empty fuse slot to get a ground!! I suspect the buzzer is disconnected beneath the coach. Found the filler cap. May have to drop the tank to get it out.
For now we are OK but I guess I have some stuff to straighten out that the previous owner did not! It will keep me buisy. Meanwhile the V10 and drive train works great even at 130f in some serious mountains! Death vally id interesting in August.
Thanks
Rob
Hi
HWH has been very helpful. After some trial and error 3 problems exist. #1- The hoses for the rear jacks were poorly shielded from exhaust heat when installed. As the flimsy insulation breaks down the problem becomes worse. I must find som insulation blanket or make a plate to heep them cooler. #2- The buzzer has indeed been disconnected at some time in the past. #3-Coachmen was not connecting the auto shut off when retracted feature and instead used a timer to shut off the system.
In cool weather they come right up and stay up. The temp has to go over 100f before there is a problem. For now I keep a chain on the problem jack it it is hot. When we get back we ca from HWH.n tackle the repairs but for now we have the answers.

Steve, we do simular,, stow, look see if all up as should be, then move coach.. never feel that the look see is not important, cheaper than buying a new level jack...
