If you are going to reserve on Reserve America make sure when U get to the check out part to look at everything. I just made a reservation and noticed that there was a block checked for me to get Outdoor life magzine for one year for $10.00 which would be added to my bill.
To me this is kinda under handed and sneaky. So make sure U read or atleast make sure where the check marks are.

WHoa. Thanks for the heads up. Something like this happened to me at Best Buy. "Free" issues of a magazine as a "reward" - but I had to question the deal before she told me that it turns into a subscription automatically billed to mycard if I dont write into cancel after my "free issues"

I hope I didnt ge stuck on this one. I recently made reservations!

They do the same thing on Ticketmaster now. My son ordered some concert tix and began receiving a magazine. He finally got a post card from the company saying that he had been charged $19.99 for the mag. If he wanted to NOT subscribe, then send the card back in an envelope to the provided address and mark the card with the word REBATE in upper case letters.

I suspect it is the same deal with Reserve America

They make it real easy to get this stuff... and very hard to stop it after the fact.

This is just one more good reason we refuse to use them anymore.

You can call them, instead of making your reservations online.

Yep I saw the same thing - its already 'checked' for you, so you have to make sure to un-check it.

I've gotten in the habit of always looking at everything checked before proceeding - I've seen some pretty sly stuff that a lot of folks probably miss.

But, you have to be more careful than this. Sometimes, you need to check a box if you don't want something.
