Wow I'm afraid to even ask how much. It has got to be in the millions. From what I've seen so far in my searching 90k for the Itasca is a great deal. That may be my best bet.

NADA guide lists the low retail for the 2006 Ellipse for around $150k without options. $90k would seem a smokin' hot deal. I would think a 2006, 40ft,quad slide, ISL for would be worth a bunch more than that.

I bought Bus Conversion Magazine. A 1/yr subscription sold me on buying a Monaco Executive instead. You'd need a 60Series Detroit..A slide-out.. a big Gen-Set.. Aqua-Hot. and so on to convert a Prevost or MCI to be 'modern'. I saw $150,000 when/if completed. TOM

Motorhome + a trailer? You need to read the following link about Pa and NC. Be Careful Driving Through PA. Follow the link there to the one about the issues in NC and other states. Sounds like some states are out to make money off us! Oh, don't say it doesn't apply, read the whole thread!

Hi,
Bus Conversion!
Hands Down... there is no comparison against a Factory MH..
Bus chassis are enginerred to last 2 million miles, they ride better then luxary cars, safty standards are miles above MH's, no squeeks/rattles and vibrations, and are far more reliable then truck/motorhome chassis..
Either buy an allready converted bus, or do it yourself. Either way you will enjoy quality that you just can't get with a S&S..

Nick - I don't doubt the solidity of your coach. It is very nice. However if I can buy one like yours for $90 Grand, sign me up now.

Okay I talked with my friend last night and he was mistaken on the miles... it only has 4,000 miles!! Pretty much brand new. For the money I think the class A is the way to go. I doubt I can get into a bus conversion for less than $100,000

What you IMPLY is absolutely true...but for the GREAT MAJORITY of "RVers" its like buying an elephant gun to go squirrel hunting!
"Bus chassis are enginerred to last 2 million miles"..and this is for a person that in their entire LIFETIME wont drive a coach 100,000 miles!! ( SLIGHT overkill at the least)
"safety standards are miles above MH's"...in which the worst problem is the "loose nut" behind the steering wheel!!...
"far more reliable then truck/motorhome chassis "....this is an attempt to introduce "evidence" that cant actually be supported!!
Thats not to say that SOME dont need a bus chassis conversion to do the things they want to do...because some people certainly do need them...but for FARRRR too many the ownership of a bus conversions is more of a "LOOK AT ME" as compared to "I need THIS to do my thing".

Great LOOKING coach Bob...but start by picking it apart!
35' which many people wouldnt want ( but would fill the bill for the two of us) and its ONLY got an ISC 350 in it. Exhaust brake ( same as mine has)...same tranny...air ride ( same again) Giant Genset and thats because it has electrical doo-dads out the wazoo!
Look at the basement compartments. I can see only TWO that a person can carry ANYTHING in and even those 2 dont go all the way thru ( full pass thru)
Its a GLITZ coach ( and boy!! It sure does have the glitz for sure) THREE roof top A/C's...4000 watts of inverter power...etc..etc.

Country350, if you buy the Itasca Ellipse, you will be ready to hit the road today and start enjoying the RV lifestyle. If you were try to convert a bus, we wouldn't see you for five or six years on the road! LOL!
With my limited mechanical abilities, I would never have the option of making that choice. Mine had to be done already.
Good luck and let us know if you go through with the Ellipse.
