It's the aluminum roof with all the dimples. It traps dirt like crazy. I use Armor All car wash detergent to wash our vehicles and the sides of the camper, but that stuff doesn't have the cleaning power to get rid of the dirt on the roof

Actually here in the land of acid rain we found some tiny black spots at the bottom of the dimples on aluminum roofs that we just couldn't seem to clean off. Got out the 10 X loupe and low and behold they weren't dirt but actual tiny holes caused by acid rain etching the bottom of the dimples where it would set. After making sure the interior of the roof was dry we coated it with one of the sealing coatings they make for RV roofs.

I have used Greased Lightning on similar roof with good results using a stiff brush.

Another vote for Greased Lightnin'. You can get a big jug at Dollar General for $2.50 I believe.
