ABS Light stays on again, I have an 01 HR Admiral (Work Horse Chassis) I purchase Mar 07 the day I drove it home, the ABS light came on. until I took it to Bill Heard Chevy Plant City, Fla.they replace Bosch brake caliper and piston boot, also ABS sensor, which cost 680.00 dollars I did not have to pay for that because it was recall, However it came on again, this time noboby seems no about the recall,I need help.
Thanks Holiday Al

Could be just a sensor out of alignment. Do you have the ability to check your error codes on the ABS box?

The folks who first repaired it are saying they don't know what the problem is?

Welcome to the club. I have the same problem. An interesting twist. Are you towing? I've been told by my mechanic the light is a result from towning without a brake system. I've added a Brake Buddy and guess what. The light doesn't come on! Estimated cost to replace sensors was $700.

I had an ABS issue too, plus my cruise control refused to control

Brake light switch

There are several other issues, some of which are discussed above, that can cause the same symptoms. Several are discussed above

We have the Workhorse chassis also. Our ABS light comes on at times and we cannot figure out what the problem is. This problem occurs whether we are towing or not. We also use a Brake Buddy for what it's worth but it hasn't helped.

Had the same issue with a brand new Workhorse chasis. After four trips in, had sensor replaced after loose WHEELS were considered the first culprit.(Yeah, I felt safe.........not!!!) Was an intermittment issue and not pleasant to cope with. Reading the manual reassured me I had brakes but not ABS function when the light would come on. Replacement fix seems to have done it. Finding the exact problem seems to be a challenge. Good luck and be safe!

my ABS/check brake lamp drove me nuts. Did all the checks, and had a complete rebuild of the brake system. Was fine for a while then the lamp would come on again. After much todo the trouble was traced to High resistance grounds at the brake control unit/computer. Cleaned the grounds and no more trouble.
