We have been offered by a private company to rent them our 08 Winn Tour. It won't be used for camping or hauling a family across the country. They want to use our RV kind of like a trade show booth - to hold their brochures- at conventions and trade shows and to meet with guests or customers inside. (Probably a good way to impress clients?) Does anyone have experience in doing this? Any suggestions? They want it for about 8 or 10 months and the price seems pretty good; about $5000 a month. Is that a good price? We were hoping to go on a vacation but with diesel prices I don't think I'll mind being without it for a while? I'll probably miss it when it's gone but the money seems good. We have been assured our RV will be well cared for, no smoking, no cooking, etc. How much of a damage deposit is reasonable?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, we're still sitting on the fence about this.

http://familymotorhomes.com/class_a_luxury_motorhome_rental_usa.html Per night $742- $900 These RV's are 2005, 2006 and are worth $375,000- $400,000

http://www.getrv.com/comp/search.php
$1575 weekly and $6375 monthly only 100 miles per day. No insurance. This unit is a 2005 and would have been a max. of $180,000 new.

When we leased out one we had, the damage amounted to over $10K and the lost(non payment) income amounted to thousands of $$$$. If this guys name is Jeff Collins AKA several other names, or the business is Open Roads RV rentals, also AKA at least 5 other company names, DO NOT continue any conversation, just walk away. Would I rent a 2008 Tour to anyone, no I wouldn't, but I also don't know your situation and that may be a way of hanging on. IF you do, just make sure you investigate the business, the contract is ironclad and executed in your home state for ease of suit if necessary and you talk to several others that have dealt with this company. Good luck.

Oh sure they will take as good care of it as you do. Then again maybe you will get it back looking like this.

Never in my wildest dreams would I rent or even let one of our friends use the class A. We own a fiver, but the same thing holds true. A slight OPPS could cost thousands to repair.
When we owned a pop up years ago, we let the wifes brother use it for two weeks, it came back dirty, ETC, plus they never really thanked us for it's use. LESSON LEARNED.

Check with your insurance company and your attorney.
