Wow....50 grand....hmmmm.....I see why you are on the fence about this. I would find out where they are taking it. How long they will be gone at a time...where they are keeping it when not in use. I would do a pre-inspection and note any damage the rig has before given it to them. I would demand to do monthly inspections. I would have a lawyer write up a lease agreement that states that you have the right to inspect it and can terminate the lease at any time if you feel they are abusing it. Additionally I would want 25K as a deposit. Under those terms, I would still be on the fence about it. Throw ever stipulation you can at them and if they don't take it than you know you shouldn't do it.

We consider our motor home, our home when away from our permanent residence. We certainly wouldn't rent out our residence for any reason and we feel the same way about our motor home.
Of course everyone has their price, now if we were offered a million $$ to rent it out, which ain't about to happen, sure, then we could run out and buy a Newell--LOL

I know nothing about the people you are talking to so this is opinion only. There is a scam involved here in some way, there are motorhomes for rent for a lot less money. I would have to talk to them more just to learn what the scam is, and I guarantee you there is one.

Our motor home is exactly that... OURS... In no way shape or form would I rent/lend ours to anyone. My DS won't even ask to borrow one of our 3 cars...
I'd really think this over.
Good luck and best wishes...

The ONLY way I'd rent mine is $10K/week and 2 years in advance. Needless to say nobody's said yes to my prices

It would be a cold day in H##L before I would. 50 grand or no.
I cant think of a more better way to screw up a brand new coach.
Do you think for a moment that they would really care for it like you would.
How about the 100s up people that would pass through it.

As a recently retired insurance broker, I like the way that Tom has replied. Most insurer exclude all coverage (liability and physical damage to the coach) in the situation that you propose. Other that the heartache that one would have of a badly damaged coach (when returned) just what provision is there for the payment for damages? How ironclad (your attorney will know) is the indemnification clause ("hold harmless") in the contract? I think your attorney will also recognize that you're probably being offered a contract that tends to favor the other guy, not you. Have you checked the organization out to determine their ability to pay? We all have credit ratings, you know.
Like the old(conservative)football coach once said..."seven things can happen when you throw the football and six of them are bad"...you should then ask yourself, too, if it's so damned profitable for the owner in this situation, why isn't that guy an owner himself?
