NEED SOME HELP. IAM ASKING FOR SOME SUGGESTIONS OF A GOOD RV CAMPSITE NOT TOO FAR FROM EASTERN NC. AS YOU CAN TELL I DONT DO MUCH TRAVELING ON OUR CLASS C 31 MINNIE. I WAS HOPING THAT I COULD GET SOME VALUABLE RESPONSE FROM ALL THE CAMPERS THAT USES THIS FORUM TO HELP ME FIND A SUITABLE SITE THAT HAS A FULL HOOKUP, CLEAN BATHHOUSE FACILITIES WITH A GOOD VIEW. WE WOULD ONLY BE STAYING A COUPLE NIGHTS AND WOULD NOT BE VENTURING OUT ONCE WE GOT HOOKUP. I WOULD LIKE A SITE CLOSE A LAKE OR OTHER BODY OF WATER.
ANYONE WITH ANY SUGGESTIONS I WOULD APPRECIATE.

Daddy Joe's in Tabor City, NC is a nice CG with several small fishing lakes. Lake Tabor just a mile away.

The last two replys are from people telling you not to use all capital letters in your post. In internet that is the same as yelling. Hope you find a nice campground.

One of the things I love about my motorhome experience is the people I meet. I also really enjoy this forum and all the useful information and just fun interactions with people I will probably never meet. Normally this crowd is eager to help and very tolerant of those with less information than they. In this case I was surprised at the reactions to the new poster who used the caps. Obviously this poster didn't understand the meaning of the caps or perhaps where to post. He just wanted some insight on a campground. In unusual form we responded with more form than substance which is unusual. Maybe the high gas prices have us jumpy. At any rate I wanted to share a great experience on a campground and will do it here and post later on the appropriate forum. Pontiac Lakes State Park in Michigan. Not far from Detroit. Wow! What a nice place with lovely sites. Stayed there during the PGA Championship last week. Twenty minutes from Silverdome where they parked cars. I had been in a State Park in Traverse City that was packed and very little screening between sites so this was a pleasant surprise. Happy traveling and thanks for sharing all the great info.

Hi,
I would try the campground outside of raleigh on Jordan Lake. There are three or four in that group and we have found them to be great. They have electric and water, but no sewer. They do have a dump station of course. Check the ReserveUSE website - they are all listed on it. I don't know how far you want to go, but one of our very favorite is in Roaring Gap NC - Stone Mtn Park & campground. Deer walk through your campsite, there is a sliding rock and the campground is beautiful The sites are huge, the bath house one of the best I've been in, but on the downside they are first come, first serve - no reservations. No sewer hookup. There are a ton of nice campgrounds in NC, VA, SC area not far from you, especially if you are willing to not have sewer hookup. Good luck and I hope you have a great time!

and perhaps he would get a better response on a campground if he posted in the appropriate forum. I see no "problem" with my suggesting that, do you?

I am not sure he would. Many of us monitor the general class C but don't go to the others unless we are looking for something specific so I suspect he would get his best response right here but I agree that reminding us that the specific forums provide good info is a good thing so thanks Bumpy. My only point was that this is a great forum with great people providing terrific info and we have room for those who are new and not sophisticated in their computer skills.
