Hi everyone. I've been reading and reading and all info. is very helpful. We just purchased our first MH and now we won's to hit the road. We live on a lake in Ok. so we want to see something besides a lake. Don't want to stray too far from home on our first trip, so any ideas would be great.

We're wrapping up our maiden voyage and treated it as more of a familiarization trip then a "where" trip. We picked a site a couple of hundred miles away from home and rented a car for any running around we wanted to do.
Now that I think I have the systems down, our next trip will be about the trip and destination, covering about 3500 miles. The first trip was just a matter of learning to drive, setup and live in our new (to us) class A.

One of the best sources for campground information is http://www.rvparkreviews.com. Go to your nearest location and start searching from there.

One of the most beautiful place in the us in my opinion is the Ozarks. I could vist there every year. Another place that is nice is Euraka Springs Ark. It is just south of the MO. South West corner of the state.
Have fun.

Why don't you try some of the Oklahome state parks? We stayed at one outside of Wilburton and it was very nice. It was Robbers Cave State park. There ar a lot of State parks in OK and Ark that are close to home until you get your travelling shoes up to speed.
