The MOD is probably down at WM for the holiday weekend sales.
Why does the mention of anything WM always bring out the worst in folks?
If a stranger were to stumble across this and other WM threads they would get a pretty dismal picture of RV'ers and might become angry when they saw them parked at WM.
Ya know, I was going to start a farm and grow NOSES, but I couldn't find anyone to pick them when they were full grown. Blows that idea I guess. Nothing to sneeze at.

Speaking of nose pickers, I'm one of them & shop @ Wal Mart-just make sure I handle all of the mechandise I can...if I can plug in over near the flowers/plants, then I guess I could use the pop up there after all....

I think it's still here because it has mainly been a thread that is making fun of other Wal-Mart threads. It hasn't been a REAL Wal-Mart thread in itself with all the bashing and trashing (or the mods have been deleting THOSE posts as soon as they appear).
Everyone is laughing too hard to want to push the "Closed" button.

I would be all for the moderators limiting all Walmart post to 2 or 3 pages. Nothing is ever settled, whats the point.

[quote=Mike Schriber]Hmmmm... I thought all business exist to make money. It seems to me that it's the number one priority of every business I know of.
Wal-Mart doesn't force anyone to work there. If the pay or benefits are no good, the staff are free to find work elsewhere.
The employees are not children.

Mike I agree. There are people that work there that can't work at other places and shop there because they can't afford to shop other places. I shop there because they have what I want and need at the right price. I bought a HP laptop last week and guess where it came from. I bought it at Best Buys not Wally World. And also I stay there if I need to.

Its just people saying what they want to. FREE speach, what little we have left. Besides I enjoy reading it. Why should it be limited to some number of pages? Thats another form of sensorship isn't it?

Wal-Mart gets bummed rapped on both the employee benefits and the so called negative impact on other retailers.
Since day one, retailing has been a dog eat dog practice, weak ones die and strong ones thrive--Wal-Mart has become a very big dog and I'll bet you can't make an argument that shows they have somehow "cheated" in getting to their lofty position. It has all been good business sense and timing.
That whole "I don't like how they treat their employees!" business is also a bit bogus. Anyone know of major retailer, besides some upscale clothing types, that are offering significantly better benefits than Wal-Mart? For the past ten years, many retailers have been cutting benefits, encouraging part-time (no health benefits--which retailers and consumers can no longer afford) employment.
And then there is that old "Mom and Pop" argument--tell you something--Mom and Pop went out of business long before Wal-Mart rolled to the edges of town and Mom and Pop rarely had health care and retirement benefits for employees--unless, of course, one of those employees bought Mom and Pop out.
Its my opinion that most criticism of Wal-Mart comes from those that somehow resent success and Wal-Mart is a success story of massive proportions. They have been good for consumers and for themselves.
Nope, don't work for them and if I have their stock, only my broker knows. Just and observation. Still don't like shopping there but their prices are good and the dogs love their treats and I like their coffee--can't give up what we've come to enjoy--even if the experience is awful--course nice thing about Wal-Mart is that you can shop at 3 a.m.! Oughta try it-you would be surprised at what is wandering the aisles at that time of the morning! Me for one.

Well, Yes, I am traveling. However, it seems the ranters have run out of steam in the fuel thread so I thought I would let them rant about the Wal-Mart parkers for awhile!
