So I have been researching stuff to remove tar, and found a few products that may work. Ohh, and please don't suggest using gas. I want to use something that won't make me sick or nauseated while working with it.

So here goes. If you have used one of these products, please tell me your experiences! I'm looking for any comments or opinions, even if you haven't used any of it, which would you choose if you had the job I have to do.

Lighter Fluid poured onto a soft cloth, or WD40, also mineral spirts all will remove it without damaging the paint. Re-wax the area after your done.

WD-40 is the best. It's great for so many things. It even takes tree sap off the dog.

I'd just use gas and re-wax when done.

I use mineral spirits or WD-40. WD-40 for small jobs, mineral spirits for bigger jobs.

I used LA Awesome from the Dollar store to remove tar off our rig. Works well and is CHEAP! Be sure to rinse the rig off afterwards.
