Just in case you are planning to camp in Florida or Georgia the week of August 17-23, it looks like we will get plenty of rain and wind.

Hopefully it will veer away from all USA coasts and die out.

Anyway, please keep an ear tuned to the radio for further hurricane updates.

I'm leaving our NC mountain home for Florida this coming Wednesday. Planning on overniting in Walterboro as always. Hopefully, it'll all be gone by then.

Yup, we are watching this one. We are suppose to move my son over to Tallahassee this week to go to FSU. We will watch this one very closely.

Wow! My first week at FSU...oh so many moons ago, I think it was Hurricane David -- rained for a week and I ran out of dry shoes

Hope your trip to Tallahassee goes well. Maybe this storm will fizzle before it reaches the panhandle.

If wishing made it so...

Much as I'd hate to wish a hurricane on Florida, here in Georgia we're so desperate for rain we're actually hoping it will hit us.

Yep, it's that time of year again. They've already hyped this storm up that I'm sure that half of SW Florida is in a panic now. It's still a tropical storm and they're not sure where it's going yet or how much strength it'll pick up. I'm sure Lowes and Home Depot will be busy tomorrow.

Droughts are miserable. Hopefully this storm will bring much needed rain (minus the high winds). Keeping fingers crossed.

If it follows its projected path, Fay won't get the chance to reach open water and gain too much strength.

IF...
