IF...
Let's hope that is the case!

Wow! My first week at FSU...oh so many moons ago, I think it was Hurricane David -- rained for a week and I ran out of dry shoes
Hope your trip to Tallahassee goes well. Maybe this storm will fizzle before it reaches the panhandle.
If wishing made it so...
Just hoping it won't be too bad. He's on the third floor and I DON'T WANT TO GET SOAKED moving him in....lol

I was really hoping it would stay east and come up the coast. My part of Virginia needs the rain bad!

Local newspapers online would have the latest. So far, they are looking at Tarpon Springs (north of Tampa) being under high alert.
I bet the Destin and Panhandle area will be next -- everyone should be prepared to act if the storm turns to the west overnight (or gains strength).

If you look at the models below they really don't know where it's going. In the next day or two they (the models) should all come together, so they say.

Here in the Apalachicola area,(Carrabelle) mum has been the word. I'm making ready to escape if need be. Our last evacuation was Dennis, and glad we left when we did. St George Island lost electricity last week due to a waterspout, they are installing temporary generators. They are not expected to have permanent repairs made until the end of the week-and that is if we aren't affected by Fay...

You might get your wish
But it has to travel directly over my house (and every one of my favorite FL campgrounds first -- no lie)
Most likely will be bad thunderstorms with high winds -- might lose a few trees in the process -- if the rain moves through slow enough.
Just glad it is not Hurricane strength.
