Has anyone made their own cut off switch for their battery? If so I would like to hear about it and try making one. Thanks.....John

John:
Why make one when there are so many on market? They do not cost that much either....
Of course (not thinking), if the journey is as good as the Destination, most RVers feel that way (I know I do) then, go for it!

They are too cheap to put any thought into it. I think I paid 5.99 for mine.

Harbor freight less then 5 bucks. Might be China made, and not made by you but they are a good quality.

Some things its just better to buy then to try and make.

Here is a copy/paste from a previous post I made earlier this summer...

Below are photo's of my installation today. Everything went very smooth and the whole job took me about 30 min's. I did make the little box that the disconnect is installed in. I made it from 16ga. sheet metal and welded it together and polished it up with a small disk sander. Next I painted the box black and installed a plastic grommet to protect the wire from rubbing. Installed a rubber hood latch and viola`. The switch works very well and is very durable...

All in all I have about $50.00 in the whole project...

Thanks for looking...

Rob

Marine grade switch, cut wire, add rings terminals drill double holes to loop black tire wraps thru and attach. Quick easy, high quality switch, no time to install.
