We're on a 10000 mile trip, due to return to Montana on 11/8 or so, we're 2 weeks into a great time.
We have decided we need a stopover in the Minneapolis area, en route to friends in Fargo. I realize this is a trecherous driving area that time of year, being from Montana.
I'm wondering if there are any late-season camping options in the area, obviously no water, but hoping for electric at least.
Can someone recommend? We're just stopping for the night, so even a Wal-mart or equivalent would be okay. By that time, we'll likely be winterizing the tanks and just dealing with drinking water in coolers.

I'm just guessing that you are taking I-94 west through North Dakota ?
Exit 207 and spend the night in the Cabelas parking lot, they have a dump station in back. We don't normaly have much snow that early so I would not worry about the road conditions to much.
If you want a potential full hookup, Dakota Meadows is open year round I believe. It is just accross the river from the SW suburbs of Minneapolis. Their website is accessable on RVPARKREVIEWS.COM.
This is the only one I know of open after 10/15.

You may have sunny days with temps in the 60's or you could find us buried to our eyeballs in snow and a windchill that is easily -20 0r -30. There are some County Parks that may be open that late. But Cabela's or Camping World (both in Roger's on I94) may be an option, Parking lots get plowed out alot quicker than campgrounds. But if the weather get's too nasty you may want to Motel it for a night.
I94 to Fargo, yes. Sounds like the weather is just like ours, you never know what you'll see. The cabelas or CW sounds like a good option, we might just have to play it by ear. Dakota Meadows looks promising as well.
Come on people :-) the beginning of November is a beautiful time to camp anywhere near MPLS. The last bad weather was in 1991 with a 17" snowfall. Yes it is possible to have cold weather and snow, but not likely. You are more likely to have temps in the 50's to 60's and sometimes more. You will have the peak of bow hunting in both Western WI and Eastern MN. Leaves past peak moving on to falling off.
What I really chimed in for was to give you the name of a very nice Wisconsin state park 15 min. from downtown St. Paul. Willow River State Park has many sites and is well worth checking out. It will be open when you are making your way through our area.
By the way, we were just through your neck of woods. Not Belgrade per say, but we spent several days along the Main Boulder River out of Big Timber.
I agree with Mustycovers. Early Nov. is usually pretty nice weather. It may be a bit chilly, but not bad. It has become pretty rare to have snow even at Thanksgiving time. Must add the disclaimer that it is possible to have snow at that time though.
