going from Rawlins will lead you over Togwotee Pass, which is not a bad way to go except last year they were building a new road up at the summit area and I don't know what shape it is in this year.. it wasn't all that bad last year.
both approaches are scenic, and you'll be climbing on both roads.
Stop in Dubois to get your final store of groceries before going into the park if you go that way.
the other way, through Jackson... there is a big Albertson's on the right as you're going into town.

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
Both routes are about the same as far as towing difficulty is concerned and I would rank them as "very easy". Neither is scenic for MOST of the way but the closer to Yellowstone you get the more scenic they BOTH become. Flip a coin and enjoy the trip / Skip

If you went over Togwotee Pass how was it? We will be headed from Fort Collins to West Yellowstone next week and that is the way I want to go. I missed your post yesterday but we usually go 287 and spend a night in Dubois at the KOA.Thanks
