My Monaco's Onan Gen-Set quits with 80/Gal. still in the tank. Any of you 'adjust' the length of the Gen-Set's fuel pickup tube in the diesel tank? TOM

Annoying isn't it? My Sig is the same way. When my fuel guage gets around the half mark, if I turn a long curve the gen will loose prime and quit. The tank can still have near 100 gallons still in it.

From what I've read on the matter, it's not an easy fix. I just keep the tank full when I know I'm going to use the gen.

One fix I read about, was to slip a tube down inside the fixed tube in the tank. You'll need to use just the right sized tube so that it will be basically air tight. Some claim to have had success doing this.

Remove and replace the pickup tube with a longer one or extend the one you've got.
