On our TT we have a converter and I am assuming that is what changes our power to DC and charges the battery. On most TT is there a fuse or a breaker you can shut off so that it will not charge the battery? The reason I ask this question is when my AC starts up and my converter is running it will make my generator surge up to high for the econ mode. If I am not using the correct wording please correct me. Thanks
I see nothing wrong with the generator going out of econ mode. In fact when I am using the air conditioner I switch it out of econ mode. There is a breaker that controls the input to the converter to find it disconnect the battery, turn on a 12 v light and flip breakers until the light goes out. If your converter has lights on it they should go out with out disconnecting the battery,
If you find an air conditioner that WON'T make the generator come out of ECON mode I'd be amazed. Your air conditioner is the largest draw you have on the trailer. It's not going to make any difference whether the charger is running or not.
