Bought a 07 New Vision to haul the Harley with. Went to load it yesterday and found that it bottoms out coming onto the garage floor. Any ideas to remedy this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thx

It sounds like you may be overloaded or need new springs. Maybe longer spring shackles will help. What kind of approach go to the garage? Like a curb maybe? If your New Vision was bought used check with the previous owner.

Maybe you've tried this but my first thought would be to raise the tongue of the trailer to make the rear end lower so there would be less of an angle where the garage meets the ramp door. My GF's Nightster will scrape on my Jayco if the pitch is too much, too.

It sounds like either:
1. Your trailer sits too high (has someone flipped the springs* on the trailer?) causing a severe angle at the hinge point of the ramp, or
2. the ground is lower behind your trailer where the ramp hits the ground, or
3. your bike is too low to clear the hinge point angle. Is the bike lowered?
Or a combination of the above.
* On most trailers the springs sit below the axles. but some are raised by setting the axles under the springs for greater ground clearance.

Try placing a jack under the ramp and once you get the bike up to the point it scrapes, jack the ramp up to give the rear wheel more height, this along with what others have suggested should help.

Quick and easy fix. Place a 2X6x12" to 24" long piece of wood on the ramp door so the end is at the hinge line for the garage floor. Simply drive over the wood. It will raise the rear tire to clear the angle. If you still need additional clearance, add a 2X6X12" to the end of the prior piece nearest the door hinge.
To come out, simply lay the board down but make sure someone holds the end that's down the ramp, so it don't slide.

Our trike does the same thing on some campsites and at home. I carry a 2x6 along with us and put in under the front wheel as I enter the garage. That would have to be before you enter the garage. I also don't sit on the trike. That gives me additional room. If you have air shocks try adding air to them before going in that will raise the bike some also.

We used to put some wood under the ramp and then use a small ramp to get up onto the RV ramp. That decreases the angle coming into the garage. Several companies make little ramps to use in this case. They are designed to getting lowered race cars into their race trailers.
