I am seeking advice on replacement shocks for 2004 cheverolet 3500 express Roadtrek. My van has 37000 miles and I just replaced the tires. Previous posts on this subject recomended Bilstines, however they are not available for years past 2002. What are you folks using for replacement? Thanks for any experience on this subject.
Not an answer for you, but I put B's on my '02 Chevy RT 190 at 8,000 miles, without noticing any improvement over stock. That's on the mtn roads around here, too. I'm sure they were more durable, but they flatly were not better shocks for ride or handling than GM OEM, no way, no how.
But this likely irrelevant, since I'm sure you have more miles, and can'tget them anyway...

'06 Tiger CX 'C Minus' on a Silverado 2500HD 4x4, 8.1 & Allison ('Loafer's Glory'); '07 Forester 2.5 ( the 'HANDBSKT'); '95 Toyota SR5 V-6 4x4 pickup, ARB locker, Bilsteins, Warn hubs & M8000, etc;

I've been real happy with my KYB gas a just shocks. Not as floaty (removed from road feeling)as the Monroes. Doesn't bottom out as easily over speed bumps/ mexican dirt roads. Probally not as stiff as Bilsteins.
