Has any used airtabs. This is a Y shaped device, where many are placed on the back of the RV to reduce air drag.

Airtabs discussions are kinda like WalMart discussions....
It looks like they work, sort of.
My feelings: anything that ugly had better save me a lot of fuel

You always have the same few show up and knock them without any knowledge if they work or not. Here is a link to a recent 1 year review of their use. There are many more threads to view, if you type "air tab" into the search box.

I haven't used used them myself, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once... ooops... OK, I did see them on a FedEx Sprinter van once about 18 months ago. Haven't seen them on any FedEx vans since, so I've drawn my own conclusions from that observation.

I only have them on my motorcycle, where they do a fantastic job of reducing head-buffeting. The one person I know that has them installed on his Sprinter reports 4-5% better mileage.

The silverback's question was not "do they work, are they ugly" or whatever. It was plain and simple "has any used airtabs"? When will the post answerers learn to read and comprehend what some one is asking?

Ya' know, use your noggin here, marly. I'm sure the OP figures out for himself that someone is using them but don't ya' think the "spirit" of his post is to also find out if they work and what others think about them? Should the members that have or are using them be so legalistic and just answer "Yes"?

It's kind of like posters who have subject lines like "Anyone Camping At Topsail? And the obvious answer is "yes" but I'm sure the poster is looking for a little more input than a "yes".

My take is that all of the other replies ("post answerers" ) in this post have contributed quite a bit more than your reply as well as mine. Darn! Now I lowered myself to another's level!!
I hate when that happens!!

So to all of you "post answerers" (I love this), please continue to reply so I can learn some things about air-tabs and marly can get angrier!
I did visit the AirTab web-site and they sure are ugly as some have mentioned!!

Very interesting.

I wonder how you attach them to a rubber roof? Just stick them on?

I can stand ugly. I would have some air tabs except they are way too pricey for me.
