Our power is back after being off approx 20 hours so took my genny to a friends house so they can have hot running water and lights. They were told a couple more days. Had to detour because of a number of power poles, some with transformers, laying on the road. Looks like they all laid over together.

Flew yesterday evening and today. Not bad at all.

Lesson learned during the mini-hurricane last night: Our power went out about 6 PM and was off til about 11:30. Since there was an interesting game on TV, we moved out to the motorhome to watch in comfort, and all went well (except the game). However, not knowing when power would be back on was a bit worrisome because the last trip we made, I decided NOT to fill up with diesel on the return trip. It was a considered decision, as we were planning to attend the Ohio rally at Deer Meadow this weekend and would pass a Flying J in Hubbard Ohio on the way. We were/are low on fuel and, while everything went well last night running off the inverter, had we been forced to go to genset power I would have been in trouble in short order. Lesson learned: don't leave the tank so low on the return trip.

A man who owns an electrical business doesn't have a generator for his home?

Larry, so sorry to hear about the power outage. Sure would be nice to know someone in the electrical business. I sat in the comfort of my easy chair with a genny running and the TV hooked up via extension cord. I thought the game went fairly well.

Good Luck Tonya. Keep up the good work.

Since I have to leave town early for a doctors appointment in the morning- GOOD MORNING TO YOU ALL.

Fortunately, we never lost power & we're running the Starwick Drive Mission for my family who is still without. My Dad's using our generator and my brother has our chest freezer full with 8 chickens and 2 jumbo turkeys that he just had butchered. Mick/Anita: if you don't have power, dinner is at 6 tomorrow and the showers are open until 11pm! From the sounds of it, we'll be having assorted thawed soups, semi-frozen pizzas and eggs, eggs, and more eggs compliments of my brother. Well, his chickens, actually.

Our power came on at 5pm yesterday, so we were out about 30 hours - now I need to figure out what food to pitch

The counties to the east were hardest hit, no schools in session due to outages and downed trees.

Hang in there Tonya!

Tonya, they estimate over 200,000 in northeast Ohio as well. Seems that First Energy sent everyone to Texas to help out and now they have to recall all of them to get Ohio back online.

Have had power all the time, but mom is without power so we moved her and all her food to different location. Many areas are still without power here, and a lot of roads are still blocked because of trees.

Hi all. Just wanted to let everyone know we are alright in Canal Winchester, OH. Lost power around 6 pm Sunday and we are still without. Along with no I-net. I'm actually at work checking a few things and checking on my camping buddies. Glad all is well with you. They have no prediction as to when we will regain power. Fortunely our next door neighbor has a generator so our frig is running.
I was really disappointed that I did not get to see the game Sunday night and I just now found out who won as if I was worried.
Take care & hope things are up & running soon.

Short and sweet...
Lost power at 5:30 PM Sunday afternoon.
Lost Time Warner cable at 10:30 PM Sunday evening. (Who won the Cleveland vs Steelers game?)
I don't know if the phone went out... no one calls (except tele-marketors).

Still no power, still no cable and the phone still isn't ringing.

It's kind of nice and quiet at home in the evening.

If you have no cable than how did you post?
Steeler's won 10-6.
After I posted this morning at school, I went out and did a few errands. Upon my arrival home, while talking to hey Sharyl, my welcome candles in the windows were lit. YAHOO!! I've got power!! I got cable!! NA-NA-NA-NA. And no you can't Tp me for that!
