Personally, if I pulled my rig into a campground that permitted "my choice" of sites, I would select what I wanted and if anyone approached and said I was to big for the site, it would be my choice to accept the advice, or proceed and back my rig up. If anyone got to close to my rig to the point they were reading labels, I would tell the person to leave.

I don't see anything funny about this post, real or just someones fantasy story. It's not other peoples problem or right to tell other people what they can or cannot pull! I have a wife that backs me into a spot and i don't need drunks offering their suggestions or opinions. If i do have a problem then help is appricated,as long as it is constructive help.
Weights are inforced by the proper authorities not the weight police on rv.net.Before you start with flaming tell me how many overloaded campers you have seen personally getting overweight tickets or caused a accident due to overweight.
Now back to my popcorn.

ODW Gettysburg is a private membership campground over closer to York. ODW was sold to the company that owns Thousands Trails the other year. If I remember correctly the mailing address is actually Dover PA. It is actually closer to York than Hanover.

You do have a point on the weight police on this forum, and the guestions you asked. There are a couple on this forum and they know who I am talking about, they have to be a real joy to be in the same campground with, its hard to imagine them enjoying camping when they have sooo much weight issues to deal with. Yes my popcorn is popping now.

Agreed!

I've never seen a tag on the outside of a trailer listing weights before.......usually they are inside on the inside of a cabinet door. Maybe things have changed???

I'm surprised that so few people here read the original post/ remembered it, and don't realize that this "guy" is pulling a few legs. LOL

Little metal tag on the road side of most RV's been there like forever and I believe even before they put them in the cabinets--usually cant read it after it's been in the weather awhile and I believe that's why it's in the cabinet now--it dont give as much info as the one in the cabinet, but they still put it outside too
