Looking for info on hwy 199 grants pass to crescent city, motorhome pulling a toad, are there any huge hills , or it it a nice drive??? sept. and oct. Thanks for any info.

You should have no problems and its a very scenic. We have done it numerous times.
No hills to speak of.

Some narrow bits with giant trees right on the fog line at the western end but otherwise no problem.

In the narrow parts, the driver WILL need to focus on the driving and NOT the scenery. It is a very beautiful drive. Just take it easy and use the pull-offs to let the traffic go by.
I (2-10-05) bought a 2002 F350 CC SWD PSD and a new 2003 Citation 10'8. Rancho 9000X & Toyo M55's.I have been a tent camper all my life. I wanted more comfort while doing my Willamette Backcountry Ski Patrol & Crater Lake Ski Patrol duties.11

Agree that it is very scenic, but you need to pay close attention at times. And east to west is probably less problematic than west to east. :-)

I live 1 1/2 miles off 199 in Cave Junction. Other than a few narrow spots, and some construction, you should have no problem. My late DH and I did it often in a 38' MH pulling a 20' car hauler. Go slow and enjoy the Smith river.
