In some states the speed limit is 55. So that is what I do in my home state, most of the time.

DW was glad she was only doing 55 when a tire blew out on the trailer.

The 55mph limit for 3 axel rigs and vehicles with trailers causes congestion and wastes fuel. The states with one speed limit for all have it right. Rarely do I see someone doing 55 in a 75

I always think about the bit on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour in regards to this...

"So its great to be back in Texas where the speed limit on the interstate is 70mph. Unless... you're in an 18 wheeler. Then its 65mph. Unless... its at night. Then its 60 miles an hour. Unless... you're in a car pulling a big trailer. Then its 55 miles an hour. And do they do this of course, because, having everyone drive the same speed on the same road, just doesn't make sense." - Ron White

"I'm surprised they make them drive the same direction. How 'bout you?" - Bill Engvall

Anything faster than 65 MPH is insanity in my book while going on a RV trip. Whats the hurry? When those guys doing 75+ come flying by I just give them a wave. Then giggle about what an idiot they are.

I will tow mine at the speed limit depending on conditions. If the road is steep and curvy, I'll slow it down a little bit. The brakes and the engine on the truck, as well as stability of the overall setup make a big difference.

I go the posted speed limit wherever I am and "giggle" at the slow pokes as I pass them

65 max for me, really try to stay around 60 but if 65 is feeling good I'll stay there.
