If you turn the frig off for 4-5 hrs, the buildup will melt and drain off...It will still be cold enough to keep food cold until you turn it back on...

Mine does the same after a couple weeks. We put everything in an ice chest and then open the doors and put a fan blowing into the fridge. Fridge turned off, of course.

Takes about a half hour to defrost/clean and all is well.
