Looking for a campground near Seattle.
Full hook-ups a MUST!
We will be staying for an entire month (31 days) so hope to find one that will cut us a deal.

I found "Trailers Inn RV Park" in Bellevue which is a good location..but their price is somewhere between $550 and $775 for the month and that does not include the cost of the electric. According to the person I spoke to at the park as an afterthought she decided we wouldn't be able to stay at the $550 mark with our size of camper. So we would be closer to look at between $650 and $775 for the month....before electric costs.

DH stayed in NC near the military installation for over a year and he only paid around $250 a month + electric.
I know WA state is higher priced but geesh, is this a realistic price to pay? Seems way high to me.

So....QUESTION.....
a) Has anyone stayed in the area?
b) WHERE did you stay?
c) What kind of cost is reasonable for me to be expecting to pay for a month?

btw...this Trailers Inn place does have an indoor pool, spa, clubhouse, playground, ect. that might be why it is so high.

I wonder why the size of your rig makes it cost more? It seems like a normal size trailer to me, not too big. I've never seen Trails inn but it does sound like a good location (Bellevue) and it's close to Seattle and lots of other stuff.
When will you be visiting our great state?

Since you are retired Army, check out Fort Lewis and nearby McChord AFB.

Fort Lewis is very close to I5 south of Seattle, more open in terms of sunlight, has a small lake. Fort Lewis does take reservations and I highly recommend getting a reservation because it is a popular place. There is an overflow lot, but it's just a big patch of asphalt a bit further down the road. IMHO, the best site are next to the lake & the worst are at the far end from the office (close to the Interstate). I not certain about sewer, but I seem to recall we did have sewer the last time we were there. More info here.

McChord AFB 'Holiday Camp' is next to one of the runways, so you'll get some of the noise of the cargo planes ramping up before take off. There's a viewing area just a short walk from the camp sites. Holiday Camp is in a forested area so it is heavily shaded. I don't remember if McChord has sewer, I only remember that they do have a dump station. McChord does not take reservations, but usually has room. There is a large grass overflow area if you had to wait a day or so to get an opening. Max stay is 240 days. More info is at this site as well as a video at YouTube.

We have stayed at the Maple Grove RV Resort for a few days. They have many longer term guests.

There are two RV parks across the bay near Poulsbo. We stayed at one of them for three months several years ago, when DW was on contract at Harborview Hospital. Full hookups, with television cable, and the cable company had internet service. At that time, there was only one site with phone service. But, we had Tracfones, and they worked just fine. I think the monthly rate was somewhere around $400.
Right off hand, I don't remember the names of the parks, but they shouldn't be too hard to search out.
The ferry ride from Bainbridge Island to Seattle is kinda fun, really.
Good luck.

There is one in Issaquah, just about 5 miles east of the one in Bell. IIRC at about I90 and I405. Bothell at the north end of Lake Washington has a few places too. The only local state park is Salt Water St Pk in DesMoines, south of seattle near the airport. I am sure if you look hard, in seattle proper will be an RV park or moble home park you could get into for the day. But generally speaking, This area does not have a LOT of RV parks. I'm seeming to also recall a few up in the N Seattle, ie Shoreline into Edmonds along hwy 99 with a few places too. MOST are not advertised as RV parks per say.

But do keep in mind that both of these campgrounds are about an hour away from Seattle on a GOOD day -- and traffic can really be a nightmare around here.

Check Lake Pleasant in Bothell. Anything is better than Bellevue and it is and easy drive into Seattle from this location.

There are many CGs in the state and national parks around Seattle. Some even have full hockup.
