We would like to take a Copper Canyon train trip from El Fuerte and would be gone a maximum of 4 days. We would like to stay at RV Park De El Fuerte and wonder if there is anywhere nearby that we could board our dog. He is a very spoiled German Shepherd that has not spent a lot of time in kennels.

Hi, most of the RV park owners/managers know of pet sitters and/or boarding kennels.
You will love the Copper Canyon!

We stayed the night in El Fuerte when we boarded the train in San Rafael. I don't think you will have any trouble finding a reliable vet to watch over your kids while you take the train. People there are very friendly.

Might want to stay at Los Mochis. The caravans stay there and usually have a person stationed there to take care of pets.

They seem to be accommodating of those outside their groups. Your dog could stay in your rig and they could look after it.

I don't know as though they would tell you over the phone. But if you showed up at the RV park and ran down one of the wagonmasters--I bet they would help you.

States I have spent the night in my current rig, bought three years ago.
Have RV'ed through 49 states and been in all 50, just short of my half-century.
