I don't need to change the voice to say "you're lost stupid"...on mine...I'm married!
HERE
That's funny - I wish I could find a similar program for my Magellan.

I just holler 'oh, shut up I changed my mind' - & - the turn the sound off. Like 'em for telling me where I am but don't always like their choice of routes to get there. Shortest - Fastest - bull &&^%$.

Mine still doesn't accept the route to my house. I've found that setting "No U-turns" cuts the noise.

When you're on a new road that isn't in the data base it will do that. Mine thought I was out in the middle of nowhere with no road to turn around on, but still insisted I was off route. I just turned it off untill we were past the new section, where it resumed as normal.
Read the signs and be prepaired to overrule (and be prepaired to take the flack if the GPS was correct).

We live on a street that runs past our house and up to a dead-end, and a guardrail. EVERY mapping software of ANY kind that we have EVER used believes that is a thru street, even though it hasn't been so for over 30 years. I've tested them all. They all tell me to make a right and go up to the highway and make another right. This is, in fact, IMPOSSIBLE.
I didn't realize you could set them for "No U-turns". I will definitely be giving that a try!

I've owned several brands and they've all gotten mad at me from time to time. It makes the DW laugh when "she" (the gps) tells me to "MAKE AN IMMEDIATE U-TURN" or "TURN RIGHT NOW!!". They will shut up after a few attempts to correct you. I think it's programming but it sure seems like they're just PO'ed at you.

Some of those self check-out voices at the grocery store have quite a tone too -- "Please place the item, IN THE BAG!"

Navteq Error Reports will take your data and correct it if you let them know. As far as I know every manufacturer uses the Navteq database.

She even finds a loop hole when you tell her "no U turns",....it then resorts to telling me to make 2 left turns. Took me way too long to figure that one out !
