Do I need sway control or a wd hitch for a 31 foot trailer behind a hd Dodge truck? GVW of trailer is around 7000 and tounge weight is approx 800

Yes... Both.

I recommend the Equalizer or the Reece Dual Cam... either will do a wonderful job for you.
