If you have a unit with Winegard's Video Distribution Switch, be advised that the instructions for installation published by Winegard DO NOT WORK. I was following their diagram and had a question, so I called their technical support line. The agreed with my question, and then stated that their method as diagramed, will not work. They suggested a alternate method, either using an A - B switch and a splitter or using 2 splitters. Neither of these methods is exceptable with satellite TV.

Does anyone have an alternate method

I was able to connect it using a splitter from the antenna and running another cable from the converter to the video input on my Sony TV. This was all within my overhead cabinets - otherwise it would have been a problem routing the wires. All my other TVs are set up with a converter box that has an analog pass-thru so I don't have that problem.

Winegard makes several video switches- some provide power to the antenna, some do not. The hookup would be much different for the 2 types.

Moderators. Is there any way or place I can post a JPG here without subscribing to yet another web-photo service?

I have a digital box, cd player, and vcr. Inputs from winegard and cable hookup. I switch them all with a switch box. I feed 2 tvs. The only thing left to do is add a second converter so each tv will be able to play a separate digital program. I have a modulator connected to the digital box so it feeds using the coax.

I just purchased a new LCD HDTV. No converter needed.
