Anyone know if there is a way to program our home Directv DVR while on the road via internet?

I think DirecTV offers that service. Did you check their website?

Yeah, just go to their site and search for "DVR Scheduler". I have not tried it.

It works great. You have to register on their website. Then, you can name your receiver(s) and in the description of a program in the TV Listings will be an option to 'Record to Receiver'. If you have more than one DVR, it will ask you which one you want to record on.

I think it's only available on the newest most expencive HDDVR reciever, not the ergular ones. But they do have it.

Heres some info. I didn't link you to it because it's on my DTV page.

Not true, it works on the non-HD R-15 DVR I have had for over 2 years.

Nothing true about that statement above at all...I have "regular" DirecTV "older" DVRs, non-HD, not expenSive receivers...works great. Just go online, establish an account, and go to TV Listings. You can record to your DVRs from there (not the Tivo receiver, though...just the Directv DVRs)...
