Good evening
I need some expert opinions on which brand of TT to buy. We have narrowed it down to 2 Jayco models (31 BHS and 31BHDS), one Wildwood model (32 BHDS) and one Outback model (32BHDS). We are concerned with quality and workmanship and want the best value for our $$.
Floorplans and cost are similar (within a few thousand of each other) and weight isn't a consideration (we have a 2500 Suburban 8.1 L with a 4.10 ratio). Any comments would be helpful in making our decision.
Also, if there are any other makes/models that have at least one slideout in the bunk house, that gives extra "kid" room, please let me know!!
Thanks

IMO for quality and workmanship I would rank them:

2. Outback
3. Wildwood

We love our Jayco...it's got a slide-out but no bunks...just the standard queen up front. LOVE our rig! It's been the very best one we've had thus far (owned 2 pop-ups prior to this) and it's going to keep us camping for a long, long time.

Go with the floor plan and space thats best for you and your family. You are gonna get lots of opinions. Some good and some bad, it seems like every brand has thier loyal following and a few that have a lemon.
I have a Jayco 31BHDS. I like the floor plan, amenities, and best of all the slide outs. The Jayco has a big slide in the LR and a big slide in BH. This makes for comfortable living arrangement for the DW DB's and me!

Good advice. I've owned three TT's. Three different manufacturers.
All have had their problems. All have had a few leaks here and there.
Ownership of a TT requies a lot of personal responsibility regarding maintenance and upkeep.
I've have owned Gulfstream, Starcraft, and Forest River and can't say, one is any better than the other.

We've been happy with our Jayco 318 RLS. We opted not to get the bunk arrangement since the kids are grown and gone, and we like the space in the living room arrangement.
As noted, you will find lots of opinions and lots of folks will speak highly and lowly of just about all manufacturers.

I own none of these. But I have been to the factories to see how they are built.
I tend to agree with Wiscampsin.
Depending on how serious you are about construction, I would take a trip to the factories, do the tours and see how they are the same, and also see how they are (NOT).
I want to make another vacation to the factories next year. I have learned a lot about how they are made.
You will to.

Do you mean the Outback 310BHS? That one has a whole room in the rear bunkhouse and is the one I'm picking up in the a.m. The quality looked good to me and the interior was very nice. I think the framing is more intricate than the Wildwood. The Wildwood is the equivalent of the Salem which is entry level and I found the cabinetry and trim to be wrapped in cheap paper that looked like it wouldn't hold up well. We also like the entry door to the bathroom.
