You folks are lucky. Im married to a Holiday Inn camper. We only went out a couple of times this year and my tow vehicle now needs a tranny. I will buy a new one in spring. Im trying to decide which to give up TT or DW Im gonna miss her. But all kidding aside. Her job stinks she cant get 2 days off in a row so we dont have any time to go untill winter and it stinks in New York no matter what time of year it is and she wont move out of this lousy state strike 2. One more and Im outaa here.

Found a piece of land that we boondock on (great because of no campground fee) so we go out every weekend, then we usually take 3-4 weeks per year for vacation.

Wife and I just purchased our new (2007 Jayco Jayflight 25RKS) in Feb. 2008. We have camped in our TT a total of 9 weekends so far. We have another 5 weekend camping trips planned before Oct 17th.
Here in Minnesota, we have a short camping season.
I would total our camping as 31 days. This includes holiday weekends and regular/normal 2 day weekends.
We have asolutely enjoyed our trailer and this forum.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR ADVICE AND AS ALWAYS.......
HAPPY CAMPING!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far this year, I've got about 142 nights. Mostly in State, C.O.E., County and Passport America parks with some boondocking and dry camping mixed in. But... I work out of mine. Sure beats a motel.

So far this season, 3 trips for a total of 8 nights. If we went back for the year, 4 or 5 trips for 10 or 12 nights.
Our first trip this season was about a month ago, and that was only after I told my wife that if we weren't going to use the camper we should sell it.

From March to November, we camp for a week at a time at our local COE lake, 15 miles, wife drives in to work each day. (I've been on disability retirement for 18 years). We do this every 2 to 3 weeks. Once a year, we take our TT on a trip for a week with #1 son and his family, and their TT. Usually 150-200 miles. Once a year, we take one or two week RVing vacation, sometimes to Colorado, New Mexico, or just here in Texas. Texas is a BIG state. We also occasionally camp from December-February. Have camped for a week at Thanksgiving, but haven't managed camping for Christmas yet. Our grown children don't like that idea. They like to come "home" for Christmas. I don't see why they can't come home for Christmas, and if they want to see us, drive 15 miles to the lake, where we're camped!
