I love it when I am behind one of those "highend" types that appear quite uncomfortable with the whole process. Seems they like to give the impression that theirs doesn't stink, but this is one place where we are all equal.

I have never timed myself, but I think the following approximates my time so far when I've needed to dump away from my site.
1. Hook up Flush King & sewer hose into dump hole (1)
2. Open Flush King dump valve then Black Water Tank valve
3. Attach water hose between Flush King & water hydrant
4. When Black Water Tank is pretty empty, close Flush King dump valve (2)
5. Turn water on back into Black Water Tank (2)
6. Stop water, open Flush King dump valve
7. When Black Water Tank drained, close Flush King dump valve (2)
8. Turn water back on for about 15 seconds to have water in the Black Water Tank to slosh around while driving. (.25)
9. Close Black Water Tank valve
10. Open Flush King dump valve, open both Gray Water Tank Valves
11. While Gray Water is draining, shut off water hydrant, disconnect my water hose and stow. Reconnect site water hose if it had been hooked up before I connected mine (some campground hoses I've seen do not have a connector on the end of their hose so I use my designated dump water hose)
12. When Gray Water drained, close both Gray Water Tank valves (2)
13. Close Flush King dump valve, disconnect Flush King from trailer, re-cover TT dump pipe (.25)
14. Raise Flush King and sewer hose to dump any residual water (.25)
15. Remove hose from dump hole (.25)
16. Disconnect sewer hose from Flush King and stow both (1)
17. Wash down dump area if necessary, replace cover (1)
18. Drive away
If I added correctly, it takes approximately 12 minutes. I can cut it to about 10 minutes or less if I don't back-flush with the Flush King. Or, I'll increase that to 15 minutes for that day that I didn't get my second cuppa tea before we head out to our next adventure.

It seems to me it will take 5 more months to get rid of the waist we all have here in The United State of America. So it does not matter to me, to spend 15 min. at the dump station.

I thin the best thing you can do is have a routine that you follow each time that covers all your bases. That way the more you do it the more efficient you will be at draining and flushing your tanks. An average sized RV should not take more than 15-20 min. PS: Have patience!

There is nothing funny or difficult about it. Pull up, hook up, open black, then the gray. Rinse hose and any spillage. Stow hose and drive away.
Like I posted it takes me 15 min max however like I also said I’m not going to run around just because there is a line to dump. That is how things get broken or left behind.
Couldnt be any more simple. It isnt a time consuming process.
Do you think 15 min is excessive?
Any in depth tank cleaning/rinsing can be done on your own time someplace where there isnt a line up to use the facilities.
Well what if you are going home and not to another CG? Then were do you dump your tanks after you properly clean them? Myself I make sure my tanks are clean and sanitized so my RV doesn’t smell like an out house. Luckily I have permission to dump clean water only in the storm sewer that is why I dump using the tote then add water and bleach to the tanks so if the line is to long I finish at home. Not everyone has this option though and unless they come across someplace on the way home they would be SOL.
For anyone interested here is a link showing dump stations around the Country, maybe you guys that are in a hurry should try one of them?

I don't feel there should be a time limit on you at the dumping station....
But at the same time I feel you should not be doing extra washing and cleaning out the system when others are waiting....
Just get in there dump and clean up the site before you leave and on you go for the next Rv'ers.
We are guilty of doing the extra cleaning when no one else has been in line behind us.

This summer I came across so many dump stations closed, due to sewer back ups. Dumping your tanks in 2 minutes is not good. You need to run plenty of water down the sewer drain to flush out the line propperly.
I see people time and time again, pull up to the dump station hook up hose, dump black water, dump grey water, pick up hose and go. Sure there fast but that can causes long term problems. I see nothing wrong with spending 10 minutes dumping and flushing tanks.
The more water you flush down the drain the better.
