You selected the IMG Code URL, but you pasted it in to the Image tool instead of the post. The image tool will add the IMG tags, thus you have double tags and it will not work.
The tutorial goes on to say, if the picture is wider than 640 pixels, then use TinyPic.Com's Direct Link for Layouts URL and paste it into the message window's Image tool.

Hi Tom! Its been a long time since I have said Hi.
Here I thought I could sneak in and get out, before anyone would have noticed me. I should have known you were back there watching, behind that green curtain. It just took too long to load everything before I could grab things for editing.

Tom@ no I didn't make it there. I was taking the long way to go south then west again (Cairo bridge), just in time to be in the area of Joplin during it's tornado.
