I'm probably going to have to get a replacement TV come Feb.
I want a LCD 20" with a DVD player.
Any suggestions?
Any brands that do not lent themselves to RV's because of the motion/bounce?

If your present television set up works, a simple converter box will get you digital signals for a third less than the cheapest LCD set.

Everyone thinks that their analog set will become obsolete when the truth is a converter box will keep it running.

I bought this recently for my truck camper. Hi-Def 1080! I paid $370. The price came down.

Hope the link works.

A converter box would just add one more piece of equipment. I also would not be able to watch one channel and record another as the box becomes the tuner.

I've never heard of this brand. Any problems or other comments?

I bought an Insignia TV w/DVD player just like you are looking for. That is Best Buy's house brand. For a year we set it on the floor while driving. About a month BEFORE the warranty expired the DVD portion quit. All of the bouncing around destroyed it. Best Buy replaced the DVD portion of the TV for free under the warranty. Now, whenever we drive, it is laying on the bed for a softer ride.

I purchased a 22" Toshiba TV/DVD combo several months ago and it works great (It's an HDTV but I'm using it for SDTV DirecTV reception). It fits in the cabinet where the old CRT TV use to live and it's been in the trailer from central Texas to North West Washington with NO ill effects. See the link below. Also, pay no attention to the listed price, they can be found MUCH cheaper than that now at a whole variety of stores.

grouchrc,

All I can say is go for it!

It is an amazing tv for the money. Don't get hung up on brand names! They don't exist anymore with electronics.

The screen and the electronics are made by the same orient factories, that make your brand name stuff, for a lower cost.

It's luck of the draw!

The first tv that was sent, was damaged by UPS, not the tv 's fault.

No problems, was replaced. The people at this online site are very nice to deal with, and you can talk to a real person anytime.

I just purchased that tv at HH Gregg for $359.00. Very pleased with it so far.

I put a Sharp 22" TV/DVD in the bedroom of our motor home. See pics at my Flickr site.
