Thanks for the HELP. I like the KZ and will keep working on it. Thanks For the Opines.

Anyone have suggestions for a toy hauler to full time in? Have a 3612 Raptor and it just seems to not have enough room inside. Have roaded the thing for 3 months at a time and it is reliable, But want more interior room. Thanks for any help.

It depends on what you consider adequate living space. Most TH's will not have adequate room AND haul any amount of toys. In order to get room you need either length or slides and most THs top out around 40' but that leaves you with about 30' of living space. 2 slides are standard on many THs but some come with one additional slide but the problem is that makes them HEAVY. You will need a real truck to tow a load like that. The added weight of the 3rd slide also robs you of toy hauling capacity on most THs. Unless you choose a high end or custom built unit for which you will need a BIG truck to pull it, like a converted Kenworth. Just my .02 worth. Our TH is 39.5' long with 29' of living space and 2 slides, I haul mu Electraglide and my Quad in it with a DOdge 1T.

Enough room for living? or storage? or toys? A 10ft toybox will give two additional ft of living space usually...if you can live with that...2 slides across from each other is the best thing for Living Area...

A 40' TH will give you 40' of living space, not 30'. Once the toys are out the garage area is set up as a living area and has all the comforts. With a ramp door conversion to a patio or screen room you can have up to 48' of living area. Seems like plenty to me. You also don't need a big rig truck to pull it. A medium sized truck such as the Ford F450 or F550 will do fine. I only live in mine 5 months or so at a time but there is plenty of room for the two of us and the three dogs.

We have a 41' and love it. We live in it fulltime and have since Sept of 07. It has 3 slides...two in living room/kitchen and one in bedroom. We do use our garage for some storage along with my DH's bike.

I agree if you are not unrealistic in your expectations. The garage is easily converted into an additional all-purpose room. If you go this way be sure to deal with the heat and air in the garage up front.

Having just spent 10 days with our 100 pound dog, two kids (5 and 16 months), and my wife I can tell you that using the garage is a must.

Our trailer has 44 feet of interior space and 3 slides and it still gets small with all of us in there at times.

Our 16 foot garage has heat and we use a small electric heater when we have hook ups and it works awesome as a place for the kids. The living space in the trailer has two air conditioners but I would add a third to the garage area if we were going to spend any time in a place where it was hot and that had hook ups. (you will need to run a cord to the third unit itself which is no big deal) You need three air conditioners to keep a unit that big cool in hot temps- especially if you use the garage.

Now if we did not have the kids and the dog we would always have plenty of room but would still not go any smaller!

If that 36 footer dosnt have enough room for you, you just have to much******or aint ready to full time.
I've live and work in my recon for 9 -10 months a year with no space problems.
The only issue I have is a one ton truck just isnt enuff truck if you need to be traveling with a 40 foot toy hauler. I'm looking for a used Volvo to single out for hauling my 5er. Going to build a platform on the back for my jeep or sammie, plus extra water, gas, and batteries for solar power.

You may want to get a trailer that is a 3 slide , four season unit , extra insulation,enclosed-heated underbelly, doublepane windows, larger water heater, larger refrig.w/icemaker,convection microwave.

dang, I think I just described a 41' KZ ESCALADE!!!!!

Still dreaming on upgrading my KZ NEW VISION here in KANSAS!
